Nvidia will have a data center in Durango in partnership with FERMACA Global.

Artificial intelligence and data science giant Nvidia will operate a data center from Durango to deploy its operations in Mexico and Latin America with strategic connectivity from southern Canada and the entire United States, Fermaca CEO Octavio Berron announced in an interview with Fortuna. "We have ongoing talks with Nvidia (and) two weeks ago we were at their event in Palo Alto, California, for a strategic alliance in which FERMACA could be a platform for Nvidia to deploy all of its technology for Mexico and Latin America," Berron said in an interview with Fortuna Magazine. For Durango, Fermaca will build the first data center designed from the ground up to meet the standards required by artificial intelligence companies like Nvidia, developers and trainers of artificial intelligence models, as well as some companies involved in cryptocurrency mining and other developments that require this real-time infrastructure and require large data processing capabilities, such as Web3 or Quantum Computing. Nvidia's plan to land in Mexico has also had the support of the Mexico City government, considered the gateway for foreign direct investment in the country.
